Digital Products & Intellectual Property License
Effective Date: August 18, 2026
This Digital Products & Intellectual Property License applies to digital products, artwork, designs, patterns, printables, files, photographs, written materials, and other creative content created or sold by Studio JOYfully Made.
OWNERSHIP
Unless otherwise expressly stated, Studio JOYfully Made retains all rights, title, and intellectual property rights in its original creative work.
Purchasing or downloading a Studio JOYfully Made product does not transfer ownership of the artwork, design, file, pattern, photograph, written content, or underlying intellectual property to the purchaser.
The purchaser receives only the limited permission to use the product as described in this license or in the individual product listing.
DEFAULT LICENSE: PERSONAL USE
Unless a product listing expressly states that a commercial license is included, digital products purchased from Studio JOYfully Made are licensed for personal use only.
Personal use may include:
• Downloading the purchased file to your personal devices
• Printing the product for your own personal use
• Using a purchased printable in your own home
• Completing a personal sewing, quilting, craft, journaling, or creative project using the product as permitted by its instructions
• Making a reasonable personal backup copy of the purchased file
YOU MAY NOT
Unless Studio JOYfully Made provides express written permission or a product-specific commercial license, you may not:
• Resell the digital file
• Redistribute or share the digital file with another person
• Upload the file to a shared drive, file-sharing website, membership library, or other distribution platform
• Give copies of the file away
• Claim the artwork or design as your own
• Remove copyright or ownership information for the purpose of misrepresenting authorship
• Repackage the file as part of another digital product
• Convert or alter the file primarily for resale or redistribution
• Sell printed copies of a personal-use printable
• Use the artwork on merchandise offered for sale
• Upload the artwork to a print-on-demand platform for commercial sale
• Use the artwork to create fabric, wallpaper, stationery, apparel, home goods, or other merchandise for resale unless an appropriate commercial license expressly permits that use
• Use the product as part of a logo or trademark unless expressly licensed for that purpose
• Use the file to train, develop, supply, or create a dataset for an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system without prior written permission from Studio JOYfully Made
COMMERCIAL LICENSES
Certain Studio JOYfully Made products may be offered with a separate commercial-use license.
When a product listing expressly includes or offers a commercial license, the terms stated with that particular license control over the personal-use provisions of this document.
A commercial license may include limits concerning:
• Number of finished products
• Type of products
• Production method
• Print-on-demand use
• Digital versus physical end products
• Attribution
• Geographic territory
• Duration
• Transferability
• Exclusivity
Do not assume that commercial use is permitted merely because a file can technically be used commercially.
SURFACE PATTERN DESIGNS
Surface-pattern artwork remains the intellectual property of Studio JOYfully Made unless a written agreement expressly transfers ownership.
The purchase of a surface-pattern file does not by itself provide exclusive rights to that design.
Unless exclusivity is expressly stated in writing, Studio JOYfully Made may continue to display, license, sell, modify, or otherwise use the design.
FINISHED HANDMADE PROJECTS
When instructions or patterns permit the purchaser to create a finished handmade item for personal use, that permission applies only to the finished project as stated.
It does not give the purchaser permission to reproduce, distribute, resell, or share the underlying pattern, instructions, artwork, template, or digital file.
Commercial sale of finished handmade items requires permission or a license if the applicable product terms say so.
COPYRIGHT NOTICE
Where appropriate, Studio JOYfully Made materials may display a copyright notice such as:

The absence of a copyright notice on a particular file or page does not mean that the work has been placed in the public domain or that unrestricted use is permitted.
EDUCATIONAL AND CLASSROOM USE
A personal-use license does not automatically include classroom, group, workshop, church, business, or organizational reproduction.
If you would like to use a Studio JOYfully Made resource for a class, group, workshop, or other multi-user setting, please contact us about appropriate permission or licensing.
NO TRANSFER OF LICENSE
Unless expressly permitted in writing, licenses are granted to the original purchaser and may not be transferred, sublicensed, sold, or assigned to another person or business.
REFUNDS FOR DIGITAL PRODUCTS
Because digital products cannot be physically returned after delivery, purchases of digital products are generally final.
Please see the Studio JOYfully Made Refund & Return Policy for exceptions involving defective files, duplicate charges, incorrect files, or unresolved delivery problems.
REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL RIGHTS
If you need commercial use, classroom use, extended production rights, exclusivity, or another use not included in your license, please contact Studio JOYfully Made before using the product.
