A New Beginning: Welcome to Studio JOYfully Made

Welcome to Studio JOYfully Made. I’m Joy, and this little corner of the internet has been a long time in the making. I’ve spent much of my life sewing, creating, teaching, and learning—and I’m still learning. This studio is a place for me to bring all of those things together and share my journey as it unfolds.

I’ve always believed there is something special about making things by hand. Whether I’m sitting at my sewing machine, working through a new design, or trying something I’ve never done before, I love the process of turning an idea into something real. And I’ve learned that the mistakes, changes, and do-overs are just as much a part of creating as the finished piece.

Studio JOYfully Made is a new beginning for me. I’m learning surface pattern design, developing my own artwork, and finding new ways to use the sewing and creative skills I’ve gathered over the years. I don’t have everything all figured out—and that’s why I wanted to start this blog. I want to share not only what I make, but how I get there.

As Studio JOYfully Made grows, I hope this will become a place to share my sewing projects, surface pattern designs, creative experiments, and things I learn along the way. Some projects will work beautifully, some will need another try, and I’m sure there will be plenty of surprises in between.
